Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: A great position for exploring Annaba. The hotel has character. The staff were helpful and hospitable. There was a running water problem for a couple of days, but this was a matter of which they have little if any control. My room had been cancelled before I arrived, due to problem with receiving advance payment. I contacted Booking.com who were apologetic and I think this was simply the fact that some Algerian systems don’t synch very with the outside world. It seemed impossible to get a reply, when I messaged the hotel through Booking.com. Again I think this was simply a technical issue. I have been with Booking.com for about 15 years and never had a similar problem. I will not stop using them.

Negative: The breakfast was quite poor, but that is probably just my European opinion, because I have found hard boiled eggs, croissants, artificial fruit juice and coffee served elsewhere as well on my Algerian. travels. If you want more choice you have to go elsewhere for breakfast.

Summary: A very pleasant stay.
